Dear
Friend,
"If we behaved like that, I do not know how you made it!" This was
the statement from 17-year-old *Adrian, one of the first boys we took in eight
years ago. His comment came as he was helping out at a local state-run orphanage
where he was in the room with eight little boys (ages 4-7).

We are so excited as we see our children giving to others from the great love and attention they have received. Great things are happening at Orasul Sperantei/City of Hope-Romania! Thank you so much for your support. You are helping to change lives!
Gratefully,
Angie

The small little boys at the orphanage are used to not having much to do in a day--no toys, no videos, no school, etc. Adrian's "parents", Cristina and Danut, have started helping out at this orphanage by taking some of their family to play and interact with the orphanage children. Cristina wrote in her latest update,
"As Adrian started working everyday at the orphanage, as well as continuing to do his chores around the house, he started reading books about bringing up children. This is one of the things we require in order for our kids to work with the orphanage children. Adrian is happy that he can help the children and he is very organized and responsible for all the materials we take to the orphanage. It is so very encouraging to see how our children understand and are willing to help!"
