Dear Friends,

Summer is coming to a close and the new school year is on the horizon. Our children in Romania had a wonderful time at camp this summer and are now looking forward to the new school year.

Many of you will remember **Gabi and **Bogdan, the two boys who were severely burned several years ago when their sewer home caught fire. We are daily amazed by their accomplishments and how far they have come in such a short time. Gabi (pictured left) finished second in his class with A's. Speech therapy has been a big help in his communication. Because he now has a stable and loving home life he is beginning to see himself as an important person. His teacher was very proud of him as well. At the end-of-the-year party we saw that he had made a lot of friends. Bogdan, who lost his hearing as a result of the fire, has also started speech therapy with a specialist and is making good progress. He is very proud when he can ask for something or talk with someone.

It is our pleasure to be able to share with you the accomplishments of the children. We thank you for your support that is helping to give hope and a bright future to so many just like Gabi and Bogdan. We truly appreciate you!!
